Chloé Doyen
French/EnglishMy name is Chloé Doyen, and I am currently working as a psychologist within Project Albatros Beratungszentrum in Brandenburg. My professional journey began with studies in psychomotricity in Paris, which deeply influenced my therapeutic approach by emphasizing the connection between the body and mind in individual development. The profession of psychomotrician does not exist in all countries, but involves assessing and treating the relationship between movement, cognition, affect and behaviour in individuals at different stages of development. To do this, psychomotricians use a combination of physical exercises, relaxation techniques, sensory stimulation and other mediations. Afterwards, I chose to study clinical psychology to deepen my understanding. This combination enabled me to work in France, initially with children, adolescents, and their families as a psychomotor therapist, and later as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, offering support to adults grappling with addiction issues, as well as adolescents and their surroundings. Then, as I moved to Berlin and before joining Albatros, I worked in a praxis as a psychologist, providing support to French-speaking adults in a clinical setting. Each in their own way, these experiences have taught me a lot. "Tomorrow's humanity is built on today's hospitality." And because I believe deeply in this quote, my approach to work emphasises listening to each person in their individuality and respecting their culture.
