Identification of those in particular need of protection
Article 21 of the EU Directive 2013/33/EU states, among other things: defines that persons with mental disorders and persons who have suffered torture, rape or other severe forms of psychological, physical or sexual violence, such as: B. Victims of female genital mutilation enjoy special protection. Our team of two psychologists is focused on supporting government efforts in this regard. In close cooperation with the ZABH, the psychologists produce professionally sound opinions within which individual recommendations are made. These statements are given to the clients and can be passed on to third parties, both state and non-state actors, with the aim of ensuring that any special needs are taken into account.

Chloé Doyen
French/EnglishChloé Doyen is currently working as a psychologist in the Albatros Beratungszentrum project in Brandenburg. Her professional journey began with a degree in psychomotricity in Paris, which shaped her therapeutic approach by emphasizing the connection between body and mind in individual development. The profession of psychomotrician does not exist in all countries, but it involves assessing and treating the relationship between movement, cognition, affect, and behavior in people at different stages of development. To achieve this, psychomotricians use a combination of physical exercises, relaxation techniques, sensory stimulation, and other mediation methods. She later decided to pursue a degree in clinical psychology to deepen her understanding. This combination allowed her to first work in France as a psychomotricity therapist with children, adolescents, and their families. She later became a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, supporting adults struggling with addiction issues as well as adolescents and their social environment. After moving to Berlin and before joining Albatros, she worked in a private practice as a psychologist, providing clinical support to French-speaking adults. Each of these experiences has shaped her in different ways. Chloé Doyen firmly believes in the quote: "The humanity of tomorrow is built on the hospitality of today." Following this belief, she places great importance on listening to individuals in their uniqueness and respecting their cultural background in her work.
